Charles Harold Faust, 87, of Harrisburg, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.

Born in Barnesville on October 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Harold M. and Verna M. Kates Faust.
Charles retired after 41 years of service as Senior Vice President of the Trust Department of the former Dauphin Deposit Bank & Trust Company. He was a 1949 graduate of Mahanoy City High School; and a graduate of the Bentley School of Accounting, the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and the National Graduate Trust School of Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran having served on a Destroyer during the Korean War. He was a member of the Hummelstown United Church of Christ. Charles was Past Treasurer of the Pennsylvania Health Council, the Salvation Army and the Harrisburg Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid coin collector and knife collector; and enjoyed hunting, fishing and wood working.
Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eileen LaVerne Blackwell Faust, whom he married on March 19, 1954; two sons, Barry C. Faust of Swedesboro, NJ, and Kevin W. Faust husband of Anne of Palmyra; one daughter, Charleen I. Baker wife of John of Palmyra; one sister, Shirley Curvey wife of James of Naples, FL, and one brother, Harold M. Faust, Jr. of Hazleton; his grandchildren, Jeff, Evan, Nathan, Matt, Tyler, Trent and Trey; and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his older sister, Dorothy Mammarella.
A celebration of Charles’s life will be held Friday, May 24, 2019, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Friends and relatives are invited to visit with the family Friday in the funeral home from 10 AM until time of the service.
