Margaret I. “Sis” Chrisemer Morris, 77, of Rutherford Heights, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Community Osteopathic Hospital. Born in Hummelstown on December 19, 1941, she was the daughter of the late James and Anna (Motter) Chrisemer.

Margaret worked as a bookkeeper for many years for Richard Flowers, Certified Public Accountant, Lawnton. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Rutherford. As a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Margaret’s greatest joy was in spending time with her family.

Margaret is survived by her husband of 57 years, James L. Morris, whom she married on March 24, 1962; her children, James P. Morris (Mary) of Gastonia, NC, and Sonja M. Wagner (David) of Camp Hill; seven grandchildren, Benjamin, Leanna, Jenalee and Rose Morris; and Lexi, Rachel, and Marshall Wagner; three sisters, Jane M. Pankake (Michael)of Rutherford, Mary A. Lehman (David) of Campbello, SC, and Marcia C. Brubacher (Dennis) of Emmaus, PA; two brothers, Gene A. Chrisemer (Colleen) of Lower Paxton Township, and John W. Chrisemer (Suzanne) of West Hanover Township, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Paul Chrisemer.

A private family service will be held with Margaret’s brother-in-law, The Rev. Dennis L. Brubacher, officiating. Entombment will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Township. Arrangements completed by Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Hummelstown.
