Martha Ann “Marty” Wrzesniewski Bossler, 71, of Hummelstown, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, surrounded by her family and into the arms of Jesus, upon losing her fight against Pancreatic Cancer.

Marty was born October 26, 1947, at Andrews A.F.B. to the late Arthur F. and Martha A. (Jadush) Wrzesniewski. She was proud to be an American but loved her Polish heritage.

Marty is survived by her much beloved children, Ashley Derickson (Kevin) of Harrisburg, and Travis Bossler (Karin) both of Harrisburg; and her pride and joy, her grandchildren, Amelia and Anna Derickson and Kole Bossler. She also leaves behind her siblings, Steven M. Wrzesniewski (Deborah Lay) of Knoxville, TN, and Michele M. “Mic” Crouthamel widow of William F. of Sewell, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.

Marty was a graduate of the Lower Dauphin Class of 1966, and the Electronic Computer Programing Institute. She retired after 39 ½ years as a Supervisor with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. Marty loved to read and found great enjoyment helping Mrs. Walak’s first grade class with her volunteer reading program at West Hanover Elementary School. She also loved to travel and shop, and with her outgoing nature struck up conversations with everyone she met along the way. Marty was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren, and just as fiercely loved those she called her friends.
Marty enjoyed life to the fullest lighting up every room in which she walked.

Celebration of Marty’s life will be held Friday, October 4, 2019, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc. 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, with The Rev. Curtis R. Weber, officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family Friday from 9:30 AM until time of the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to John Hopkins Hospital, 600 North Wolfe Street, Carnegie 417, Baltimore, MD 21287 to support pancreatic cancer; or to the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area, Inc., East Shore Shelter, 7790 Grayson Road, Harrisburg, PA 17111.

I am very sad to hear Marty has left the room. I have been far removed from my former home in hummelstown and all my classmates, but I do know Marty’s presence was powerful and joyful and compassionate and will forever be greatly missed. Love to you all. Pam Rainey

My sincere condolences to all of you for your loss. I remember Marty’s beautiful smile and contagious laugh. I looked up to her in junior high school and high school, she seemed so poised and confident but also was approachable and a warm person. She was one of the first people to recognize and welcome me at the Lower Dauphin Golden Jubilee. She will be missed.

There is a hole in my heart with Marty's passing that will be difficult to fill. Marty was one of a kind and genuine and someone who had a place in my heart. The only comfort that I take is that she is no longer in pain and that she is with those who were dear to her heart. My sincerest sympathy to Ashley and her family, Travis and his family, Mich and Steve. You were loved and appreciated by her and you returned that love in your strength, support and love during the most difficult of times a family could endure. May God Bless You All and provide some comfort during your mourning. May God Bless Marty Ann for all Eternity. May she rest in peace, never to suffer again and may her spirit guide you all in your lives. I will dearly miss her.
